Land Rover in September of this year's Frankfurt Motor Show concept car released DC100, which is a hint Guard SUV coming (new guard will be launched in 2015) of the design work. According to the global brand director John Edwards said the new guard "must have the ability, but also combined for the Third World market."
Edwards said that with the new guard, Land Rover hopes to return to their origin. He said, "Sometimes, we are NAS [North American specifications] 90 guards and surfers talk about money too much, but not a lot of talk about the Red Cross, Zambia, or the Australian outback."
Although Land Rover has not yet officially confirmed the new guard will be in the North American market, but Land Rover will be in next month's 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show an upgraded version of the DC100 concept car, to see the American public the idea of the SUV .
"I expect we will get many responses, some respondents will be passive," Edwards said. "I participated in [2000 models] MINI R & D, when I show on the R50 Owners Club concept car, when some of them want to kill us is you have anticipated. Overall, DC100 to get a response we want to consolidate, and tell us: we are very close to the right path. "
Land Rover DC100 and DC100 Sport concept car concept car is powered by a hybrid compatibility with the 2.0-liter four-cylinder diesel engine. Matched with this engine is a 8-speed transmission, with intelligent brake / start systems and intelligent four-wheel drive system (torque vector with distribution function and separation of power transmission function).
